    Introduction

Swimming in the 2012 Olympics in London in the middle of the race
Have you ever watched the Olympics? Imagine being in the Olympics, Well Michael Phelps has and he has set an all time record for most medals.  He has won 22  medals, 18 gold medals, 2 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals. Born on June 30, 1985 in Baltimore, Maryland he is 28 years old. In the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Phelps four gold medals and two silver medals, making him the most successful athlete of the Olympics for the third time in a row! Imagine being an all star athlete or a V.I.P. and having a whole country watching you, depending on you, cheering for you, wishing you to win and take home the victory for that country up against 203 other country's all competing against you all wanting the same thing as you... VICTORY. The chance to represent your country and your sport. So go ahead and try your hardest cause this opportunity won't come for another four years... if you make it!

Opinion

In my opinion I think that Michael Phelps is one of the best swimmers not just in America but in the world. He has set records that are so incredible he is number one, this is a big achievement that he should be proud of and he has a country standing behind him that are even prouder than him almost as if he is the king and we all worship him. As an Olympian everyone just wants to take home the
gold. Imagine all the pressure all on you, your country, your family, anyone watching all are proud of you. Even if you don't win you know you did your best and that you are okay to take home anything whether it be gold, silver, bronze,
or even just dignity. Everyone leaves the stadium a winner. It just happens to be that Michael Phelps is a dedicated man. When most people are hanging out with their friends, staying up late ,and eating junk food Michael Phelps and all of the other athletes are training, in bed no later than eight 'o'clock, eating healthy food (like you should be anyway on a regular basis)like apples, fish, chicken, milk, pineapple and other fruits and veggies, they must maintain a healthy lifestyle because as a lot of parents will tell you, you are what you eat. Imagine being in a race and you don't feel good because the night before you and you friend had pizza and soda and candy, you are certain to not win the race. These people train hard and they look forward to competing with other players every year. So why would they ruin there chance?
